Our Active Place and Active Route technology are what makes the EarthNavigator a
unique Internet browsing experience. As you use the Internet, websites can be
EarthNavigator Active, which means they have special
'tags' that EarthNavigator will recognize and translate to places and
routes that are shown on the globe. You can then double-click the place or route to open a web-site with more information about it.
EarthNavigator works with Internet Explorer and scans each web page as it is loaded for these special tags. If a website has a
special tag (which you won't see as part of the webpage), then a place or route is shown on the globe.
The websites listed on the right are Active Place and Active Route
websites;
if you are currently running EarthNavigator, you'll see what we mean.
And you can easily create your own web pages
with
Active Places or Routes, although a little knowledge of HTML is helpful.
EarthNavigator includes a number of tools to assist you if you wish to create your own
website with Active Places or Routes.
